I have been horrible at keeping this blog up- I guess I don't realize that our clients actually read it! We keep a personal blog for our family and friends, and I guess sometimes this one just gets neglected. Today I had 6 emails from clients, and they all mentioned something from this blog. So I will try to be better at posting! :)

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Where to start......One of my photographer friends has recently become involved with an organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/. Photographers volunteer their services to families who have a baby that is either stillborn or on life support, or passes away during/ after birth. I wasn't sure how involved I could be with this organization, but it seems to keep coming in to my path and I feel like the Lord has put it there for a reason. So I submitted Rob and I to become one of their photographers and we have been approved. I want to give back- to give to a family the only pictures they may have of their child. I went to the website and started reading, and it just really puts life in to perspective. Many of the babies are born with chromosomal problems, and the parents knew from week 20 that the baby would not make it past birth. But a few have cord issues like the cord cutting off oxygen to the baby during birth. And it makes me realize just how close we were with Landon- how blessed we are that he made it. We are the same as some of those family. A healthy pregnancy. A normal labor. Then the silence in the delivery room. The blue baby. No breathes, no cries. But by a miracle he came back to us. I now know how serious it could have been.

Bluebonnets?

Hey there! We are planning to do a Bluebonnet minishoot- but where are the Bluebonnets? We haven't seen any wildflowers yet, and they are saying we may not have ANY because of the crazy Texas winter. Woooo Hooooo

Did you hear that? The big SIGH OF RELIEF? I am FINALLY caught up! All of the Easter pics have been finished (all 96 appointments!), and I have finished my shoots from last week. Everything has been mailed out. If you have not received your cd, email me! If you have been waiting for me to call or email....Well, you might shoot me another email! :) Our computer pretty much crashed this weekend and Rob was able to recover and repair things. (Thank God he is a tech geek in addition to being my amazing partner!) We are finally breathing easy, and ready to enjoy our Easter weekend! WHOOP!

Today was the last of the bunnies. We wrapped the day by taking pictures of our own kiddos (not recommended!).

Staying up all night? It is for the birds! My mouth is like an ashtray from so much coffee. Mmmmmm. Who wants a kiss? :) I'm out! Tomorrow is another day and I will finish the last 5 in the morning. Sorry guys!

Easter

Seriously?

OK- so I can't keep up with the blog! I stink- seriously! We have a family blog also, and I have trouble keeping that one going- then to upload to this one too...Well I'm just not very good at it! BUT I want to be better! So I will try to post pictures at least- starting with some from our Easter shoot this weekend! We had a crazy time with those bunnies, but it was so much fun. We have even more shoots next weekend for Easter- so check back for pictures! :) Gwen
